Professional Landlord to Amateur Landlord: “You may find that all your potential ‘dudes and dudettes in the basement forking over $1K per month’ are rare…and getting rarer.”

“Currently we are having difficulty renting in one of our downtown Vancouver apt blocks.
Not to mention the surrey apt is not at full capacity either.
You may find that all your potential ‘dudes and dudettes in the basement forking over a g ‘ are rare…and getting rarer.
Good luck finding renters dawg.
We are pro’s at this and we are experiencing the aforementioned lack of renters right now.
Do you really want to have a battle for renters with a national company that has very deep pockets?
We can rent the apts very cheap indeed if we have to.
Give it some thought eh?”

  1. Occupancy is high, what doles the pain is the degradation of tenant quaity.

Pro landlord is having trouble finding quality tenants.

  2. I don’t think this guy would be trusted with the proximity to the finances of whatever company he works for to understand the “deepness’ of it’s pockets. He sure sounds like an RE “pro” though, dawg.

    • I have been continually surprised with the lack of correlation between intelligence and wealth. Some guys may sound dumb but that’s not what matters in some fields.

  3. Paul Streppel

Bully Boomer! kicking sand at younger kids. The West Coast has its share of Bills. Considering all the housing used for speculation (and staying empty) one has to wonder at the true occupancy rate in Greater Vancouver. ‘Reversion to the mean’ double time.

  4. Sounds legit

  5. Sounds like someone can make a cool 15% setting up their responsible renter friends with lonely landlords. Membership has its privileges.
