“On last night’s Real Housewives of Vancouver, Jody was commenting that Mary shouldn’t be shopping at a private shopping event because she’s not ultra-wealthy. One reason/supporting fact? Mary lives in a rented condo! Yes, someone who lives in a rented condo cannot possibly be rich or worthy to attend a private shopping event. In response, another “housewife” Christina also admits to living in a rented condo.”

We’d expect at least three RE references in each episode.
Anybody with the stomach to do the research?

Machinations of the nouveau riche.
Meh.
For the sake of contrast, Priscilla Chan intends to become a pediatrician:

Mentioning that show on this site is the first sign of the Apocalypse, isn’t it?
It mentioned itself.
what kind of brain would watch this kinda stupid show anyway!
Aaaah… A volunteer!
i honestly tried to get through a bit of it on the website….i think i lasted longer on “2 Girls 1 Cup”.
as Seneca said- there are many things of which a wise man should wish to remain ignorant.
Wonderful quote; very apt.
Why do you think that the producers of the “Real Housewives” franchise chose to expand into Vancouver? Bitches eating their humble pie after a foreclosure makes great TV! Seriously, check out the real estate track record of the “American Housewives”.

Embarrassed that i watch this show but jody is honestly the biggest bitch ive ever seen on tv. She trashes everyone for no reason. She walks around carrying several 30k hermes bags all the while living in a condo in West Vancouver. Defenition of new money right there. Oh and shes from Merritt….
“30k hermes bags”
Thought that was use of hyperbole, but googled anyway and found this, of one type of Hermès bag:
“Its prices range from £6,000 to £100,000 ($9,000 to $150,000). Costs escalate according to the type of materials. The bags are distributed to Hermès boutiques on unpredictable schedules and in limited quantities, creating scarcity and, intended or unintended, exclusivity.”
A bit like beanie-babies.

Anyway, special place in hell (likely of own making, and very much on earth) preserved for anyone spending $30K on a purse.
Oh they’ve got a place in hell alright. The problem is: we’re in it too!
Oh no i wasnt joking… funny timing, i just read this article

some people are just nuts…
Ya know, JJ… I wouldn’t be overly harsh as regards Gals ‘O Merritt… Having passed through that fine little ‘burg only yesterday [Note to Ed: The Crimson Beast's exhaust note startled ThePonies at TheLastChance]… ‘Nem’ can confirm that the TwoStepStetson denizens are ‘exercised’ over rather more weighty issues than the fortunes ‘o their kinfolk….

If they are that rich, buy her an apartment. I’m buying a house for my landlord and I don’t even know him that well. Cost of doing bznz. They ain’t wealthy.

Real Housewives of Vancouver? WTF?
The Real Housewives of Orange County documented the housing crisis.
Not intentionally, of course.
“The construction-real estate crash, the beginning of which coincided almost exactly with the first season’s broadcast, has since trimmed the housewives’ lifestyles with job losses, evictions, mortgage defaults, foreclosures, and marital stress—all recorded in progressive seasons of the show.”
