“FOR SALE, lovely home, ZERO DOWN”
“recorded message, 604- etc”
This snapshot sent to VREAA by e-mail from Roko, 21 July 2011 with the following note; thanks, Roko:
“I’m a long time lurker on VREAA. I saw this interesting sign this morning on Cambie and Shell in Richmond. The small print says ‘lovely home’ and ‘recorded message’… I haven’t bothered to call the number, but there’s gotta be an anecdote in there somewhere…”

There’s one of these signs at the corner of Kensington and Canada Way in Burnaby too. I’ve seen it in that neighbourhood on and off for a couple years now I think. My guess is that it’s some kind of real estate investment pitch.
yeah I’ve seen that same one more times than I can count.
very professional !!!
Haha, I live down that road off Bamfield and I have seen that. I wonder what it’s for, perhaps I’ll give them a call.
I’ve called and it’s a company by some guy that helps people get mortgages for people that don’t have the down payment. He calls it the penniless mortgage. Explains why banks don’t offer mortgages with low down payments and low payments. “My-home-loan-finder-service” is his service he offers, the following the qualifying factors:
- Earn $40,000+ (single or with spouse)
- Good record of paying good bills in last 36months
- Full-time Job and wage
- Bad credit, no job and liens or judgements, then no dice
He finds certain loans and places for you that meet what you can pay.
